HOW

Wait at least an hour after eating before a far infrared sauna session. Focus all energy on the goals of your sauna session, rather than splitting energy between your goals and digestion.

When the sauna reaches 110 degrees F, you may go ahead and step inside to begin the session. You can let the body warm up gradually, as the infrared sauna air temperature increases. Most people find that a cabin temperature between 115-135 degrees F is comfortable and very effective

Mop up sweat as it comes- you’ll be wiping away perspiration and cellular waste (toxins). Wiping off sweat regularly during your session can promote the body to sweat more.

Gently Stretch and massage out your knots during your far infrared sauna session! You can more readily improve  flexibility, range of motion, and reduce chronic stiffness when your system is relaxed and warm.
Massage the area around old injuries to help bring more oxygen to the damaged area.

Vigorous massage of fatty tissue areas (hips, buttocks, back of thighs, love handles, back of arms, etc.) during  infrared sauna session will accelerate the breakdown of fatty deposits and enhance the weight loss and body toning process.*

Do not use skin lotions or oils during  sauna session as this will inhibit sweating and clog up pores and soil the sauna. You are actually hydrating  skin, naturally, from the inside to the outside during  far infrared sauna sessions. You will notice that  skin is softer and smoother beginning with the first few sessions. Do NOT bring your phone into the sauna.  Our sauna is specifically designed to be an EMF-free zone, give your brain and your body a break from the constant onslaught of EMF, sit back, listen to the music, stretch, massage yourself, chill out, meditate, do some yoga.  Your phone will also not like the heat, trust us, don’t do it.

FAQs

Stay Hydrated! The more you drink, the more water your body can expel, and with it: harmful waste, and environmental toxins that need to be flushed through and out of your system.
Water In = Water Out.
Drink plenty of good fluids before, during and after sauna for the rest of the day.

When is it best to have a session? Morning sessions are a great cardiovascular starter to your day. After strenuous physical exercise and cool down, an infrared sauna session is excellent for preventing stiffness and sore muscles the following day.

Sauna Apparel.“Birthday Suit” is best. Just be sure to always be in contact with a towel, not the wood directly to help keep the sauna sparkling clean. *HOT TIP* Mop up sweat as it comes- you’ll be wiping away perspiration and cellular waste (toxins). Wiping off sweat regularly during your session can promote the body to sweat more.

Healing Reactions may occur. They are temporary symptoms associated with eliminating toxic substances, healing chronic infections or metabolic changes in the body. They are an important function of all deep healing methods. These short lived “flare-ups” are generally mild and are seen as a positive sign that deep healing is occurring. *
Symptoms could include headache, muscle pain, odors, and fatigue. If you are experiencing a healing reaction, drink water and lie down and rest until the symptoms abate.  This response will decrease over time as the quantity of toxins in your body naturally decrease with each sweat session.

FOR BEGINNERS

When you first begin to use  infrared sauna, Start Slowly. After you begin to break a sweat, a 20 -30 minute session is recommended. Once acclimated to the sauna most folks average 25-45 minute sessions with ease. *Two sessions per day can be great if you are working on a specific therapeutic goal like weight loss or detoxification.

You may not sweat a lot during first 2-3 sauna sessions. This is normal! Your body will build up a good sweat with each visit- it needs to learn to do this, give it time. You will begin to sweat more quickly and at a lower temperature setting as your body adjusts to regular sauna sessions

Take care not to overheat during your first few sessions. Lack of sweating means lack of body temperature regulation, it’s important to give your body time to build up to a good, healthy sweat!  If you feel too hot or the cabin feels ‘stuffy’, slide open the ceiling vent or, just open the door for a few seconds, to let some fresh air inside. If you feel lightheaded, queasy, or start to get a headache, end your session immediately.
