Dr. Walters is a second-generation acupuncturist, Doctor of Acupuncture, and nationally board-certified practitioner dedicated to providing safe, thoughtful, and effective care. She takes a whole-person approach, working not only to relieve symptoms but also to understand the underlying patterns contributing to each patient’s condition. Her treatment plans are individualized according to each patient’s health history, goals, and pace of healing. Her clinical focus includes acute and chronic pain, sports recovery, neuropathy, Bell’s palsy, support during stroke recovery, and rehabilitation following surgery, trauma, or injury. She also works with patients experiencing stress and other mental and emotional health concerns. Drawing upon her previous career as a physical therapist serving children and adults with disabilities, Dr. Walters brings a deep understanding of movement, rehabilitation, and functional recovery to her acupuncture practice. Dr. Walters completed advanced clinical study at Shanghai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, where she gained hands-on experience treating patients within an integrative medical setting. That experience continues to shape her work today as she combines established Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques with contemporary, evidence-informed care. She has also completed specialized training in neuro-acupuncture and oncology acupuncture through Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Her oncology training focused on helping patients manage treatment-related symptoms such as nausea, fatigue, neuropathy, and pain with greater comfort and support throughout their care.
